Battleground, Promises, Truth

Always By Your Side

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you. Joshua 1:5

This is a powerful truth that every Christian needs to understand and firmly believe in: there is no outside force that can win the battle against a child of God.

There is nothing and no-one stronger than Almighty God. It is right there in the name; He has all the might and he has all the power. The enemy may think he is strong enough to come against you but he’s not; with the power of God within you, you are stronger than the enemy. He may, of course, use other people to come against you, to hurt you, but not one of them will ever be stronger than the Lord. It is with this confidence that we can truthfully say, ‘greater is he that is in me than he who is in the world.’ Jesus has already defeated the enemy. He has already won the battle.

We each need to truly believe this wonderful promise of God – “I will never leave you or forsake you.” God does not go back on his promises. He will never leave you, never abandon you.

“Behold, God is with us at our head (for our Captain, KJV), and his priests with their battle trumpets to sound the call.” 2 Chronicles 13:12

God will never leave you at the start of a battle; he will never leave you in the midst of a battle, and even when the fight is over, he will remain firmly by your side and tend to your wounds.

No-one shall be able to stand before you because the Spirit lives within you and he will not be removed.

God does not fill you with his Spirit and then randomly un-fill you, leaving you to stand alone. When you belong to him, the Spirit dwells within you continually, and being spiritually joined to the Father means you will never face any situation alone.
