May (you) have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:18,19
There are many things about God that we will never understand this side of eternity, and God’s love is one of those things that we will never fully grasp. We know, and believe, that He loves us. We sing a lot of songs and hymns about God’s amazing love, a love divine all loves excelling, vast as the ocean and as high as the heavens above, and yet, it is so marvellous and so wonderful that we cannot completely comprehend it. His love is too big for us to fully understand.
God’s love is being poured out upon us continually, surrounding us completely and filling every possible space of our being. He wants us to feel the depth of his love in our heart and soul, for from that source we display that love and pass it on. The source never runs dry and although the input is constantly and consistently high, sometimes the output is low.
How are your love levels today? Are you finding it difficult to love? Let your experience of God’s love toward you, guide you in extending that love outward.
