Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Peter 1:3
A question that is often asked after a challenging project or quest is, “If you had to do it over again, is there anything you would change or do differently?” God, in his grace, offers everyone the opportunity to start life again with a fresh clean slate.
We were all born into a state of sin without choice, but through the mercy of God we can choose to change our state.
“For as by one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.”
We are born in Adam and clothed in his flawed nature, but we can choose to be reborn in Christ and reclothed in His perfect nature. Through the first birth comes death because of sin; through the second birth comes life because of righteousness.
“Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘you must be born again,’ (for) that which is born of the flesh is flesh, (but) that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:3,6,7.
Two births, one choice: Born only for death or reborn to a living hope of eternal life.
If you have chosen to be born again, then make every effort to live life to its fullest potential in the abundance of God’s amazing grace.
