Immoveable

I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.

Psalm 16:8

I have set the LORD always before me – This is where we find our confidence. When the Lord is always before you, He is always in sight. Focusing on Him allows us to follow his lead and walk the path that he intends for us.

He is at my right hand – This is where we find our safety. The Lord’s constant presence by our side helps us to feel secure and protected. Like a child who feels unsteady, we can reach out and place our hand in his for added reassurance.

I shall not be shaken – This is where we find our courage. We are rooted in Christ but that does not mean that we are rooted to the spot. On the contrary, we are always moving forward, in step with Him, firm and steadfast in our faith. When we rely on the Lord’s power and his strength, the devil finds us immoveable.
