Therefore, God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phil2)
What an incredible journey through some of the names and attributes of God; I hope you were encouraged and strengthened as you explored them. Having a clear understanding of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, helps us to better understand who we are to Him, in Him and through Him.
We have limitation on what we can fully comprehend which can sometimes lead us to limit God in our minds. By faith we need to find a way of moving beyond our comfortable and reasonable expectations to the phenomenal mind-blowing power of the Almighty Creator.
I would encourage you to make a list of the names we looked at and beside each one make a note of what the name tells you about your Heavenly Father. It is only through recognising who God truly is that we can appreciate who we are – sons and daughters of the King. A Father of unfathomable love, immense deep compassion and unquestionable faithfulness. It pleased Him to come and dwell among us to teach us and lead us; ‘that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might’ (Eph1).
Never forget who you are in Christ, what you can do through the power of the Holy Spirit and what awaits you in the Kingdom of the Most High.
