Creator God
This is the first name given for God and the one that is most used throughout the Bible. Elohim is the plural of El which is used in names that further describe the person and nature of God.
In the traditional Jewish view, Elohim is the Name of God as the Creator and as Judge of the universe. You can understand why, as we see the extent of His superlative power and might unfold through Genesis 1 & 2.
Take time today to look around at the wonders of the Creator and give thanks for all the magnificent works of His hands. Tonight, look up at the moon and the stars, which are but a fraction of His glorious universe and give Him the praise that is due His Name.
