Romans

Reconciled

Romans 5:10

For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.

We are either for God or against God. In our sinful state we are against God, therefore, we are enemies of God. This follows on from yesterday’s verse which says while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. While our face was turned against God, His face was turned toward us, making a way for us to be reconciled back to Him. The plan of reconciliation took place before Eve even took the fruit from the tree. God knew that we would fall away from him, that we would become his enemy, yet his love for us was never compromised.

Having become reconciled through the death of Christ we now continue to be reconciled through His resurrection and life. This is the believer’s assurance and certainty that we have been…

delivered from the judgement of God, saved unto eternal life with God and between now and then we are in a perpetual state of reconciliation to God.

Never doubt your salvation, God’s plan has you covered.
